Cute Halloween Princesses

So we have two very different princesses and I personally love this pirate costume.  Whitney wore it the last two years and I'm hoping Haylee will be cool with another year.  It's just so stinking cute!
I could not convince Whitney that princesses smile with their teeth.  Like big pretty smiles.  She kept giving me this squinty eyed grimacing face as her princess face.  Not a single picture of a cute smile... but she felt beautiful.  I have to say, I miss the phase when I could convince her to do things my way.  Haylee sat and let me braid her hair and didn't care at all but Whitney chose her hair...  Mom's opinion did not matter and Dad's opinion is quickly losing its sway...
Grandma Rollins was awesome enough to send Whitney her Cinderella costume and some sparkly shoes.  This was the night of the trunk or treat and I felt terrible.  Jason took the girls and I'm proud that that their hair got done and I got a picture of it...  Luckily, by Halloween night, I was a little more up to spunk and we carved a pumpkin and went trick or treating.  I wanted to do a pumpkin like two weeks earlier but I'm super lazy about everything right now so it didn't get done till the 31st.  I keep lighting it cause I like it so much.  Wonder if anyone thinks that is strange in November...
I had this whole idea to dress up as a polygamist wife with two cardboard wives attached to me but I didn't think that would be a good one for the ward trunk or treat... maybe next year.

You did a great job getting them ready, they look cute! I also was carving pumpkins on Halloween, it was probably the worst job I have ever done. Hopefully by Thanksgiving we will be feeling better

What the heck. Do you guys ever stop partying? Looks like you have been up to lots of fun. Hopefully you are feeling better. I CANNOT WAIT to see you next weekend for some serious girl time.

Whitney is hilarious. Cute, cute girls. We didn't carve pumpkins this year, since the kids didn't ask, and didn't care. We had pumpkins on our front porch though! Westin learned the pledge from saying it in preschool. they say it once each time before they do their activities. I thought he wasn't getting anything except play time, but turns out he know the The Pledge of Allegiance!
